In high school, they worked across the street from each other. Him, at Einstein Bagels, and her, at Dunkin Donuts. He hung out at her high school Eleanor Roosevelt all the time. At UMBC, they both worked at the library, him at Special Collections, and her at Circulation. And yet, they never met! What are the odds?! Six years after graduating together from UMBC in December 2004, mutual friends brought him to her Halloween housewarming party when she moved into a condo in Columbia, MD. They quickly became friends, often chatting on Facebook, debating Apple vs Android. Going on hiking trips, ski trips, watching movies, going to the gym, and spending time together with their mutual group of friends. Over the course of 8 years, and several failed relationships with other people, they found their friendship turning into romance. It was rocky at first, and they stumbled a bit, even separating for a year. But they found their way back to each other.
