We are what some may call a Tinder success story — we each made the decision on that fateful evening, moping and lonely in our separate apartments across Chicago to swipe right. It was a match! In her bed in Avondale, Sally took a deep breath, aligned her chakras, and sent Randy a very very cool opening line about what she had gathered was his favorite band, Third Eye Blind. Smooth! Randy proposed a meeting, and as quickly as that meeting came together he knew that she was different. He knew that he wanted to see her again. He thought she had a quick wit about her, and found her “devastatingly beautiful”. As we played each other the hippest music videos we each could think of, Randy claims that he literally had hearts flowing endlessly from both eyes. For her part, Sally bravely leaned in at the end of the night to debut the world’s first Bub Kiss™. That night, we each felt an instant connection and ease in our abilities to make each other laugh for hours (and now years) on end. Despite living on different sides of the city, we continued to meet as frequently as possible, falling into a groove rather quickly. It just felt right. Seven months later, we moved in together, fully aware that this decision appeared somewhat insane. But here we are, almost five years and another state later, calling each other “my person” semi-un-ironically and planning a wedding! We can’t wait to celebrate with each and every one of you! Please do not wear socks to our wedding as they will undoubtedly be knocked off. - Sally & Randy
