It was the middle of a Global Pandemic. We had previously shared a zoom screen for all of two minutes, and although he was cute, I definitely didn't think much of it. Until he slipped into my Instagram DMs and asked me a question. We hit it off so fast and literally never stopped messaging. I actually wasn't sure if he was networking or if maybe there could be more, but when he sent me a request to book him for a 45 minute Zoom Call, I was like, OH. We are definitely networking here. Cool cool cool. AND there wasn't even a weekend slot. Only Monday through Friday at normal business hours! I signed up for the first available slot on his Monday calendar. Knowing it wasn't a "date" released me from having to act "cool." So I was able to be my MOST authentic, WEIRD self. 45 minutes turned into 2 hours. Shortly after that we scheduled a Zoom movie night--but the movie was so scary (The Six Sense) that we turned it off within 10 minutes and just talked for hours. Shortly after THAT, he invited me...to OREGON. IN A PANDEMIC. I thought, WHAT?! What if we like each other? WE CAN'T TAKE OUR MASKS OFF! I went. And that mask came off. And I thought to myself: Well, this kiss might literally kill me. But dear God, I've never felt more alive. Little did I know I was kissing my future husband. Andrew locked it down quickly. He was SO sure about what he wanted. And not only did I find that rare and refreshing, but I wanted to be with him too. He flew to Fresno and met my family. I flew back to Oregon to meet his. And the next thing I knew, this Oregon boy packed up and moved to New York City. I cannot believe I finally found my other half, and I can't stop thanking God for Andrew! I love him with my whole heart!

Andrew had been working his butt off the past few months to put together a Guinness World Record Breaking Event for "World's Largest Virtual Podcasting Event in 1 Week" where he was working with the Podfest team to manage 500+ speakers and 5,000+ attendees. After secretly wanting and being assigned the "Broadway Con," Andrew woke up from a nap just in time to catch the end of Salisha's presentation. "This girl is gorgeous AND knows how to speak well AND has a joyful and great personality?! I gotta hit her up." He then proceeded to slide into Salisha's DM's and shoot his shot. Somehow, she responded! They immediately had great conversation right off the bat and so Andrew knew he had to get on a call with her. Because he didn't want to be too forward about flirting with speakers from the event, he had her book a 45 minute zoom call the following week (don't worry they went overtime and no invoices were involved.) The call ended up going so well they decided to have a "movie night" together. But, because the chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS they just kept talking and conveniently skipped over watching "The Sixth Sense" because it was "too scary." The movie night ended up going so well, Andrew convinced Salisha to fly out to Oregon to meet in person and see if what they had was REAL. After a few awkward mishaps on the first meeting including: sweaty clothes from all the nerves, spilled pizza on khakis, and overcoming uncomfortability with removing masks indoors, they realized they could be together for LONG periods of time without wanting to kill each other. Andrew knew what he wanted and Salisha was it. He asked her to be his EXCLUSIVE girlfriend on the soft sand of the Oregon Beach that SAME weekend. Once Salisha spent the weekend visiting Andrew, Andrew visited Salisha's family and friends in California, and then Salisha came back to Oregon to meet Andrew's family and friends (who very much approved), and the REST IS HISTORY.
