Question

✉️ How do I RSVP?✉️ How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than December 1st, 2025. This is a hard deadline, no exceptions. However, we strongly encourage that you RSVP and book your travel ASAP. Not only does it help us plan and budget accordingly, but it helps you get the logistics out of the way so you can focus on the fun stuff - shopping for outfits and planning just how many activities you can do, restaurants you can visit, and umbrella drinks you can have while you're there. Reminder: please send your confirmed travel to us at akramweddingplanning@gmail.com

Question

👶 Are kids welcome?👶 Are kids welcome?

Answer

Your children are welcome in Costa Rica, and you are welcome to make this trip a family one. However, the evening of our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. If you are traveling with your child(ren) please make arrangements that evening with a nanny, sitter, additional family member, etc. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

Question

✈️ When should we arrive in Tamarindo?✈️ When should we arrive in Tamarindo?

Answer

We recommend arriving no later than Thursday, Feb 5th to allow time to settle in before the festivities begin on Friday, Feb 6th. But you're welcome to arrive as early in the week as you'd like - as we will also be in town very early!

Question

📍 Where is the wedding taking place?📍 Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

We are hosting the wedding at a private villa estate, about 30 minutes south of Tamarindo Beach. We will provide transportation from Tamarindo Beach to the venue. If you stay outside of the Tamarindo Beach area, we will work with you ahead of time on your transportation. Uber is available in Tamarindo, and local taxi's/shuttles are very affordable (around $10 each way).

Question

🏨 Where should we stay?🏨 Where should we stay?

Answer

We have offered several hotel and airbnb options on the Travel page, but you are welcome to stay anywhere you like. The wedding will be about 20-30 mins south of Tamarindo Beach, so anything in or near town will be convenient to the venue. We are also happy to help answer any questions you may have.

Question

🚌 Is transportation provided?🚌 Is transportation provided?

Answer

The villa is about 20-30 minutes from the center of Tamarindo Beach. Ride shares (Uber/DiDi) are available, taxi's are available, as are private drivers from some of the hotels and villas. We will also provide transportation options closer to the event date. You will not be permitted to drive to the venue, so please plan accordingly.

Question

👠 What should I wear?👠 What should I wear?

Answer

Expect clear skies and 89 degrees with the sun setting at 5:45pm. Formal/semi-formal evening attire suited for a very warm evening outdoors is appropriate. Think deep tones, elegant tropical florals, rich textures, and breathable fabrics. Please avoid black or white. Everyone will have the opportunity to do an outfit change at their hotel prior to going to the beach bar, so plan ahead.

Question

🕒 What’s the schedule for the weekend?🕒 What’s the schedule for the weekend?

Answer

We would encourage everyone to make the most of their journey to Costa Rica. Come early, leave late, do tours, take naps, enjoy the beach, go hiking, go horseback riding, see the volcano, please... wander and enjoy. You should plan on dedicating ~3pm-10pm on Friday, February 6th to us for our wedding. We will host an [optional] after party at a beach bar for those who wish to continue celebrating beachside, until 2am. Transportation will drop everyone off either at their hotel for a quick wardrobe change (all beach hotels are within a 15 min walk from the after party) or directly at the after party, for all who wish to join. Outside of Friday evening, please feel free to do as you please and have fun. We will likely host [optional] casual welcome drinks/dinner at our favorite local spots, every evening that week, for anyone in town who wants to get together. And we may also do a casual [optional] meetup for brunch somewhere on Saturday, February 7th, 2026. None of these are mandatory. Once we have everyone's travel itineraries and we know who is arriving when, we will go from there.

Question

💌 Can I bring a plus one?💌 Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you received a plus-one, we trust you'll bring someone special — not just someone to fill a seat. Etiquette here should be a partner, not plus-one-for-the-night that could haunt our photos (and yours!) for the next 50 years. Thank you for helping us keep the vibe intentional and joyful, we love you.
