Salia and William first crossed paths at Johns Hopkins Neuro ICU on September 25, 2019, exactly 3 years before their wedding day! William first noticed Salia through a glass window in the ICU as he was leaving the unit. After a few months of talking and texting they were ready to meet outside of work on a real date at Gertrude's at the Baltimore Museum of Art on a beautiful sunny September day. On their third date William made Salia a spicy shrimp dish and she knew that she would have to continue dating him for his delicious cooking. Due to the pandemic they were able to spend a lot of time together over their first year of dating. They spent Saturday mornings at the gym, took trips to Shenandoah National Park, and William taught Salia to ski in Western Maryland. They bonded over their love of a good cup of coffee, cozy evenings watching TV, cooking French recipes together, and finding new restaurants and coffee shops in town. William grew to appreciate Salia’s style, sweet personality, and unstoppable spirit while Salia loved that William was patient, caring, kind, thoughtful, and a surprisingly good dancer!!! On a breezy, beautiful October day William brought Salia back to the farm where they had come for a picnic over a year prior to ask her to spend the rest of her life with him.
