We were working a trip to Amsterdam.. I was up front in business class and David was in the main cabin so we didn’t work together. When we got to the hotel, he invited me to dinner later. I had some shopping to do so I said I may or may not meet up with him. (I thought the whole crew was planning on going out, it was only much later I learned he had invited just me) I didn’t show up for dinner but we did get a chance to talk on the flight home. At the time, I was not interested in dating anyone and yet when we arrived in Philadelphia and went our separate ways...I was beginning to change my mind. It would be about 8 months before we saw each other again. He greeted me with a big smile and a kiss on the cheek. Within the next week we ran into each other several times....I figured the universe was putting him in my path for a reason...not being big on patience, I decided to help fate out. I figured out his schedule and picked up one of his trips and then another.. can you say ‘stalker’?

We had talked about getting married but kept it quiet because David wanted to ask my parents permission before he proposed. They said ‘sure, of course, why not?’. So we picked out a ring. It wouldn’t be ready for several weeks and David didn’t want to propose without a ring. I couldn't keep my mouth shut any longer so unbeknownst to me he bought me a ‘place holder’ ring (with a superman logo on it) and surprised me with a proposal in front of the Eiffel Tower! When my ring arrived a couple of weeks later..he packed it in his bags and when we found ourselves again at the base of the Eiffel Tower, he surprised me with another proposal!
