Got a question that's not answered below? Please reach out to Erin via e-mail or text and she'll be glad to help you out!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Formal invitations to follow, but once sent, please send your RSVPs by September 1, 2023. If you know you can’t attend earlier than September, feel free to let the bride & groom know. It’s always helpful to planning.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Please visit the Registry tab for more details.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

You know the bride is a punctual polly, so the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm (and did we mention Erin is punctual? so seriously, 5:30). We will have shuttles leaving from the Kimpton & Montecito Inn, and more details on timing will be released closer to the date. If arranging your own transport, please plan to arrive before 5:10pm (at the absolute latest) to be directed into the venue & get settled.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Welcome drinks will be dressy casual. A button down & jeans works for men, a dress/skirt/jumpsuit works for women. The wedding dress code is dressy cocktail attire. For women, a gown or dressy cocktail dress (not short) is perfect. Bright colors are great, just please stay away from white/cream/beige hues. When in doubt, ask the bride! For men, suits work but you can skip the tux if you’d rather (though the groom will be in one). The festivities will be outdoors and on the beach so expect a breeze. Weather should be typical California winter & there will be heaters, but please bring a jacket or wrap if you think you'll be chilly.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love you and your little ones, we kindly ask that you make other arrangements for the key weekend events. The welcome drinks and wedding will be adults only. If you need babysitting recommendations, please reach out & we will share some options!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, your RSVP forms for the Welcome Drinks & Wedding Reception will include a question for allergies. If you missed it, please email Erin!

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

For welcome drinks, guests staying in downtown Santa Barbara should be able to walk. Guests staying in Montecito or elsewhere are encouraged to Uber/Lyft, it’s a short 10-minute ride. Should you elect to drive, park at City Lot #10, conveniently across the street from La Paloma There is some parking at the wedding venue, but it is somewhat scarce. We recommend that you utilize one of our provided shuttles or an Uber/Lyft to get to & from the wedding.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, there will be shuttles provided to & from the ceremony/reception. The pick up & drop off hotels are the Kimpton Canary & the Montecito Inn. Pickups begin at 4:30pm & end at 5pm. Return transportation begins at 9:30pm & ends at 11:30pm.

Question

What are your hotel/lodging recommendations?

Answer

We have room blocks reserved at the Kimpton Canary hotel. There are several great AirBnB & VRBO options in the Carpinteria, Summerland, Montecito, or Santa Barbara areas as well. Questions? Reach out to the bride & groom.

Question

What’s the deal with Welcome Drinks?

Answer

Since all of our guests will be coming from out of town, we hope you’ll join us on Friday evening for a welcome to Santa Barbara. Food & drink will be served, but it won’t be a sit down meal, so if you want to try another of Santa Barbara’s amazing restaurants beforehand, go for it! (Need suggestions? Visit the Things To Do tab). The gathering will be from 7 to 10 and definitely feel free to pop in when you arrive if you’re getting in that night. If you’re able, try to be there by 8 so you don’t miss out on some of the fun!
