Question

What is the general etiquette expected in a mosque?

Answer

Men and women are separate during worship and social gatherings. Everyone should be dressed modestly. Clothes should fit comfortably without being overly tight or revealing. Shoulders, chest, arms, and knees, are typically areas that need to be covered. Keep a low and respectful voice level. Please respect the mosque and its attendees by avoiding clapping or cheering while inside. Please do not talk while Qur'an is being recited. No shoes inside the mosque. There are shoe racks available in the lobby. Remember to come with an open mind and an open heart, you are very welcome in the house of Allah.
