The Wedding Website of Ashley Saleem and Andrew Abadier

Flight

Getting to Santorini

The quickest option is a 45-minute flight from Athens (ATH) to Santorini (JTR). May is peak season, so book early! You can also find direct flights to Santorini from several European countries including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Check SkyScanner for the best prices and routes. If you prefer to travel by sea, ferries from Athens’ Piraeus Port take about 5–8 hours. Airport Transfers Taxis are available from Santorini Airport and take about 15–20 minutes to Fira. Many hotels offer pickups, or you can pre-book a private transfer to avoid delays.

Travel Note

How Long to Stay in Santorini

Our wedding will take place on Monday, May 25, 2026, so we recommend arriving in Santorini by Sunday, May 24, at the latest. We’ll also be hosting a beach club day on Tuesday, May 26, so plan to stay that night too! If you’re short on time, May 24–27 will cover all the main wedding events. That said, there’s so much to see and do on the island, so we suggest giving yourself a little extra time to explore. Most guests are planning to stay May 23–28, which we think is the perfect window to enjoy it all!

Travel Note

Where to Stay

Popular Areas: Fira – Central and lively, full of shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Imerovigli – Peaceful with stunning caldera views. This is where we’ll be staying! Oia – Luxurious and famous for its sunsets, located farther north. Akrotiri – Quiet and scenic, near our wedding venue. We recommend searching for accommodations that fit your budget and preferences on Booking.com (often better deals than hotel websites) or Airbnb. We do not have a hotel block, but we’ve listed a few suggestions below. ✨ Note: We’ll be staying in Imerovigli and organizing shuttles from there to the wedding (about a 25 min drive). For convenience, we suggest booking a place within walking distance of Aeifos Boutique Hotel if you’d like to join the shuttle. Kid Policy: Please check the accommodation’s kid policy before booking if you’re bringing children. While kids are not allowed at the wedding itself, you’re welcome to have them stay with you in Santorini—many families choose to bring a relative or caregiver to watch them during the celebration. Getting Around: You can rent a car for the most freedom, or try ATVs/scooters if you’re comfortable driving them. Local buses and taxis are also available. Roads can be narrow—drive carefully!
