Saleema’s Story It was February 15th, 2004 when we met for the first time… Paul took me, my cousin Tanika and our kids to Stephen's house for a birthday party. Our eyes met, while walking in while on my phone, I somehow think he casted a spell on me, might have been a hex or something, why you ask, While on the phone with my brother-in-law at the time, Raveen, I almost fell on my face tripping over the flat pavement, I think I fell in love, literally, or so it has been said… little does he know I am as clumsy as it gets. But... I did fall in love, instantly! We started seeing each other every day since, whether it was for his morning Ginger Tea or for Dinner in the evenings or my midnight Hershey Pie cravings, sometimes all three. Our friendship blossomed into this weird I can’t do without him; he can’t do without me kind of attachment that neither of us understood. We knew we were in love, so much more than either of us cared to admit or have ever felt. We were inseparable. Here we are, a whole minute later, Blessed with True Love!!! #FinallyMrandMrsW #TwoHeartsOneWood
All I have to say is, she almost went flat that night when we first met. There was not one thing on the pavement and this Indian girl walking in tripped over air (common assault for her over the years) and almost landed on her nose... Since that night, I would find any reason to drop by her home, just to spend 1 minute with her. It has been a great many years, and counting! Here we are, about to give her my last name, and cant wait to spend the next 100 years with my best friend and partner in crime, lol.
It was Christmas 2011, we snuck out for dinner leaving Chris and Mia with Mommy Wood. We went across the street to Romano's Macaroni Grill, an Italian Restaurant that is walking distance from home. While having dinner and drinking wine we talked about the restaurant, the decor, the exquisite food, wondering why we had never been there before now, he handed me what I thought was my Christmas gift. Of course, I put it on my right hand not thinking what he meant. If you know David and Myself, you should know how silly we both are. All he said to me was "Wrong Hand"... so, there you have it, our "he never went down on his knees" proposal. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you Soon!
