We originally first met when we were just teenagers. We became friends during those crazy years & had stayed in touch here & there. After several years of being friends we realized that we were meant for each other. We became inseperable and quickly fell in love with one another. We built our relationship on trust, strength, & solid friendship. Without hesitation we started officially dating at the beginning of 2019. Later that year in September, on top of Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park, Peter got down on one knee & asked Kara to marry him.
We planned a week long vacation that consisted of visiting Las Vegas, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell, & The Grand Canyon. After we flew into Vegas, we began our journey at Zion National Park. We set up our campsite & got plenty of rest for our big hike we had planned for the next day. Angels Landing was known as the most dangerous hike in America. The hike consisted of using metal chains to pull yourself up the side of the red rock mountain. While walking to the trail head, Kara had asked Peter if he was scared for the hike & he replied “just nervous.” His reply made Kara nervous for the strenuous five hour hike ahead of them. After climbing nearly 6,000 feet of elevation, they had made it to the top. Peter asked someone to take their picture & when Kara turned around he was down on one knee...she said yes!
