Ashley and Jonathan's love story began online in 2020, during a time when connections mattered most. After weeks of texting, they finally met in person on June 11 at Arts District Brewery—Ashley’s favorite brewery. It was Jonathan’s only day off that month and Ashley started a new job that week, but in the midst of busy schedules they both looked forward to meeting that day. Despite Ashley running an hour late due to work, something told him to wait, and they’re glad he did. When Ashley arrived, she rushed to him with a tight apologetic hug, and what they thought would be a quick date turned into over six hours of laughter and deep conversation. They bonded over their shared backgrounds and love of culture, and just a month later, Jonathan vowed he would marry her. Since then, they have become proud corgi parents to Honey and Kona, traveled together, cheered on the Dodgers, sung their hearts out at concerts, surfed, snowboarded, and created cherished memories with family and friends. Through life’s joys and challenges, their love has only grown stronger. On March 23, 2024, they got engaged in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico, marking another beautiful chapter in their story.
