FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sajid Kamal and Maranatha Genet
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by October 25th!

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Gentlemen: Suits and ties. Ladies: Cocktail or formal dresses, evening wear. Traditional Ethiopian or Bengali attire are also welcome :)

Question

Is there a dress code for the Ethiopian Melse?

Answer

We warmly welcome our guests to celebrate with us in habesha kemis or traditional Ethiopian attire. If this is not accessible, all-white attire is just as appreciated.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore your kids, we are keeping the guest list for the wedding reception to adults only due to limited space. Kids are welcome to the Ethiopian Melse. We appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate together!

Question

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP! Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Both venues have large parking lots on-site with free self parking.

Question

Where should I stay for accommodations?

Answer

We’ve listed a few great hotel options near the venues on our website. If you’re traveling with a larger group, feel free to reach out to Sajid—we’ll be happy to help arrange an Airbnb instead.

Question

What’s the best way to get around Atlanta and to the venues?

Answer

Public transit in Atlanta is limited, so we recommend renting a car if you’re visiting from out of town. Ridesharing (Uber/Lyft) and carpooling are also good options for getting to and from the venues smoothly.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony/reception on Sunday and the Melse on Monday will take place indoors!
