Our Love Story

If you ask Sailor: It was Oklahoma State Mom’s Day in 2021 when I decided to take my mom and bonus mom to a Sig Ep event. When we arrived, I spotted a really cute boy who had added me on Snapchat not too long before. Little did I know that one of my closest friends from Phi Mu, Haley, had known him since they were kids. She introduced us, and I was instantly filled with butterflies. Later that night, he asked Haley to put in a good word for him. When she told me, I couldn’t stop smiling. I already knew after meeting him that I wanted to get to know him more, and hearing that he felt the same made me so excited. After that, Reese and I texted all summer while I was home in Texas and he was back in Oklahoma. The first time we hung out, I was visiting friends in Stillwater and invited him to come watch a Logan Paul fight with us. I was so nervous that we barely spoke, but after he left that night I texted him and asked, “Sooo, when are you gonna take me on a date?” From that point on, we were pretty much inseparable. In the years we’ve been together, we’ve grown so much—individually, as a couple, and in our faith. I’m so grateful to have found someone who is servant-hearted, ambitious, kind, loyal, and loves the way Jesus loves us. He is truly the man I have always prayed for. I can’t wait to be his wife and to celebrate our forever with all of you! If you ask Reese: Our story began at a SigEp Mom’s Day event—an unexpected place to meet the love of my life. Sailor was introduced to me through Haley, her sorority sister and one of my close friends. From the moment I met her, I was taken by how beautiful, kind, and effortlessly warm she was. I couldn’t stop thinking about her after that day. In fact, I wouldn’t stop talking about her to our mutual friend Grant—practically begging him to help set us up. I just had this gut feeling that she was someone special, someone I didn’t want to let pass me by. Soon after, Sailor and I started Snapchatting non-stop, and our conversations flowed as easily as if we’d known each other for years. When summer came and she returned home to Frisco, we stayed in touch, and the connection only grew stronger. One night, she invited me to watch the Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather fight with her and some friends, and I jumped at the chance. That night felt like a turning point—fun, easy, and full of little sparks. After that, she began making trips up from Texas just to see me, and I knew then what I had hoped from the start: this was something real. We’ve been inseparable ever since. Our personalities complement each other perfectly, like two puzzle pieces meant to fit. It’s amazing to think that what started as a casual introduction became the foundation of our love story. We’re so excited to celebrate the beginning of forever with all of you, surrounded by the people who helped make this love possible.
