We're getting married!

She suggested brunch! You can bet there was no way I was letting that date pass me by. We sat down together at Silver Diner and lucky for me she let me talk her ear off about everything under the Sun. I remember our plates being suddenly empty and refusing to let our time together come to an end, so after talking her into a walk around Centennial Lake we continued talking about family, friends, and the other things we love most in life. It was obvious to me that she was all of things I wanted, everything I needed, in a partner. I couldn't keep her all day, however, she had a bridal shower to attend! That short, delightful time together had made me more happy than I could have ever hoped, yet somehow I knew in my heart that she felt the same way. - Ryan At the end of August in 2022, I thought Ryan was ghosting me on Bumble...turns out he was just busy buying a house (how inconsiderate)! I decided to be bold and ask him on a date. After our date I called my mom and couldn't stop smiling as I talked about how Ryan and I had connected. We ended up seeing each other 5 times in the 7 days following and were officially dating at the end of that first week! The first mention I can find in my texts of me saying I was going to marry Ryan was October of 2022 (2 months after we started dating), but I'm pretty sure I knew in that first week. 💗 - Abbey

Just half a year later it was time to move in together! We were ready and Bucky and Archie had met before, but this would be the true test of two worlds becoming one. It felt like the last piece of the puzzle falling into place. How lucky we are to wake up every morning next to each other, to spend every night bundled up with the boys. It went so well we decided to add Sawyer to the family only a short time later. He kept us on our toes and with the help of his brothers forced us to become quite the pet-parent duo! Before we knew it, Ryan's place became our place, and what an wonderful place that has become. - Ryan & Abbey

With ring in hand, we set out for our typical afternoon walk through the trails near our home. Recently she had come to expect that any one of these walks could end with the question, so leave it to me to convince her otherwise! Tough job not to check my pocket every other minute to make sure I still had the thing, but I managed to make it the whole way without fumbling. As we got close, I kept my eyes glues to her as she noticed familiar faces up ahead, our good friends and patient witnesses. I couldn't help it when a wide grin split my face as I led her over to the spot we had passed many times, fantasizing of proposing that we spend our lives together. I didn't doubt what her answer would be, but that didn't stop the nerves from taking over anyway. But I asked, and she said YES! - Ryan Anyone who knows me knows that patience is not a virtue that I have. Ryan surprised me on our one year anniversary with a magnet from the jeweler where we had found my ring (meaning that he had it) and from then on I became persistent in asking Ryan when he was going to propose. He had fully convinced me that he wasn't going to propose on that walk and I even jokingly patted his pocket to see if there was a ring (which luckily I didn't feel). As soon as I saw Erin's hair (for anyone who doesn't know her, she has distinct red hair) I knew!!! I turned around and saw Ryan with the biggest grin on his face. We got engaged surrounded by our best friends and Bucky barking at us...it was the perfect way to say yes to forever. ♾️ - Abbey
