In case you didn't know... we are both from a small beach town in Massachusetts called Duxbury. We grew up on opposite sides of town and didn't know each other very well, but were known to cross paths in shared interests including referee-ing many a soccer game.(yellow and black striped shirts were so in) We got to know one another in AP Biology Junior year, we sat next to each other. We became really good friends from there. Senior year, we both applied early decision to Colby College without the other knowing, and got in! After that, we talked almost every day looking forward to spending the next four years in Maine.  When Senior Prom season rolled around, Emily got a knock on her front door... it was as you can guess Brett! He asked her to Prom and she replied "only if we can ride in on a Mule" (Colby's mascot). He still took her to the Prom and they had a wonderful time. We started dating a few weeks later, and the rest is history!
