(August 1, 2022) Our first date was a magical evening that unfolded with a blend of excitement and anticipation. We decided to meet at a cozy café nestled in the heart of the city. Our conversation flowed effortlessly, transitioning from light-hearted banter to deeper discussions about our passions, dreams, and favorite travel destinations. Laughter echoed between us, creating a comfortable and joyous atmosphere. After savouring a delicious meal, we decided to go to a rooftop named Lavelle. And the rest is history. P.S. Simran says this was one of her longest dates...EVER!

(November 26, 2022) The Roka ceremony marks the union of the bride and groom's family and friends & an official acceptance of the couple's union. Our ceremony at the gurudwara began with prayers and blessings from the elders. Sahib was a bit overwhelmed by the presence of so many of Simran's relatives and absence of his parents & close family.

Sahib & Simran's family decided to travel to India together for the Sagan ceremony. The Sagan ceremony involves the exchange of gifts and tokens as a gesture of love and goodwill between both the families. Simran was also adorned in a Red "Chunni (veil)" known as the chunni chadana.

The process of finding and securing our first house involved a mix of excitement and anticipation. Simran definitely took the lead on this with her expertise in the real estate industry. Getting our first house together has been a monumental step in our journey, marking a blend of shared dreams, goals and responsibilities. It was a moment of excitement, tinged with a touch of nervousness. From house hunting to envisioning the decor, every decision has been a joint venture and it has definitely strengthened our bond. There was a palpable sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the future, filled with love & laughter on the day we got the keys to our beautiful home.

After months of anticipation and waiting for this day, Simran didn't see this coming, all she wanted was her oval engagement ring. This day had not just one surprise but two. Sahib proposed to Simran at their new home on the same day they got their house keys! Simran was under the impression that they were all going to the new house to cut her birthday cake but little did she know about the surprise proposal in the presence of close family. Indeed, it was a day full of celebrations and surprises!!
