Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be held at the Larz Anderson House (2118 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20008).

Question

What is the timeline?

Answer

Seating will open at 4:30 pm Eastern and the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm Eastern. Dinner and reception to follow.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

If you are coming from out of town, we invite you to stay at the Tabard Inn (1739 N St NW) with us. The Tabard Inn is a boutique hotel just minutes away from the wedding venue and offers valet parking. The hotel is small, so we encourage you to book your rooms early. We welcome guests to use this code for a ten percent discount on their stay: EventsMarch26. You may also select any hotel of your choosing, keeping in mind the wedding venue is in the Dupont Circle neighborhood.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

This wedding is black-tie optional. We recommend guests to wear tuxedos, dark-colored suits, or long gowns. If you have any questions or concerns about the dress code, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Question

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

The Larz Anderson House does not have onsite parking. While street parking is available in the nearby neighborhoods, it can fill up quickly. We highly recommend booking a taxi or rideshare to get to the venue.

Question

What kind of ceremony will be featured?

Answer

We are excited to blend our cultures for our special day. The wedding ceremony will feature elements of a traditional Persian aghd—including a sofreh and a poetry reading.

Question

What meal options are available?

Answer

We have opted for a family-style dinner featuring vegetable, steak, and fish dishes. If you have questions about the food served, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Question

Do you have anything planned after the reception?

Answer

Connor and Sahar would love to invite our guests to an afterparty at Lyle's (1731 New Hamshire Ave. NW) from 10-12 pm following the reception on Friday March 27, 2026. Lyle's is one of our favorite places in the city, so we've reserved part of the lounge for our guests. We hope to see you there. Drinks are on us!
