Travel

Please stay wherever you are comfortable (within your budget!). Our city is expensive, and options that are very close to the venue are limited. If you want to stay in Brooklyn/Queens, we would suggest the following neighborhoods based on general favorability and proximity to the venue: Williamsburg, Ridgewood, Greenpoint. Bed-Stuy and Bushwick are also close and may have good AirBnb-type lodging. Or, if you want to stay in Manhattan, by all means do! Our advice is to enter the address of the lodging you are considering into Google Maps and look at mass transit or ride share/taxi directions to the venue and to any other places you will visit on your trip. In general, staying by the airports or in NJ will be inconvenient. Also, it's best to not rely on the bus system (the subway is great). We have reserved blocks at the following hotels:

Hotel

Holiday Inn Express Brooklyn - Bushwick, an IHG Hotel

1200 Broadway, Bedford-Stuyvesant, NY 11221
 (718) 317-1200

This was the best balance of price, convenience, and positive reviews that we could find. The hotel is a quick 10-minute car ride from the wedding venue and is very close to the subway into Manhattan (approx. 10 minutes to the Lower East Side). While the hotel is not in an especially beautiful area of Brooklyn (elevated train tracks, can be loud and dirty), it is close to some solid hipster-y bars and restaurants (Ornithology Jazz Club, Wonderville, Santa Panza). Mention the Johnson-Olson Wedding if calling to make reservation or book with the provided link.

Hotel

Hotel Indigo Williamsburg - Brooklyn, an IHG Hotel

500 Metropolitan Avenue, Williamsburg, NY 11211
 (718) 577-2525

This is the more luxurious option. It's located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, which is a great neighborhood very close to where the happy couple lives. It's a nice, modern hotel that is walkable to anything you could want (shopping, bars, restaurants, rehearsal dinner) and is directly above a subway entrance. 5 minute train into Manhattan, 10 minute car to the wedding venue. Mention the Johnson-Olson Wedding if calling to make reservation or book with the provided link.
