Tanner & Sahana's journey began a decade ago during their freshman year at the University of Nevada, Reno where they were both pursuing Computer Science & Engineering majors. They met in an evening class when their lab professor, a silent matchmaker of sorts, prompted the class to collaborate with a partner for an assignment. Luckily, Sahana partnered with Tanner who happened to be seated next to her. Right away, his easygoing nature and friendliness stood out, setting him apart from many of the other male classmates she was used to interacting with in her engineering classes. After class, they discovered that they were both residing in the same dorm hall, albeit on different floors. As they walked back together, Tanner, seizing the moment, took a leap and asked for Sahana's number. Little did they know that this spontaneous moment would mark the beginning of a deep connection and lifelong friendship. Initially, her feelings weren't strong towards him, and she admits that giving him her number was more of a polite gesture than genuine interest (Oops!). A couple texts, homework hangouts, horror movie nights, and chipotle dates later, they became inseparable. Throughout the remaining years of college, their friendship turned into a loving bond. They became each other's person. Tanner also became the person Sahana called as soon as there was a single inconvenience (holds true to this day). Nonetheless, he was always there. Tanner's decision to take a job in Sahana's hometown after college marked a pivotal moment for them to take a serious chance at love and to continue to let their love story unfold. Now, some of their best moments in life have been spent together- from skiing to discovering new food spots and indulging their sweet tooth. Their shared passion for wine and adventures across new landscapes and cities has brought them even closer and created unforgettable moments with one another.

Yosemite National Park Fast forward to 9 years later, Tanner gets down on one knee in the snow by the frozen Mirror Lake in Yosemite Valley and tells Sahana he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, knowing in college that he wanted to marry her one day. Unbeknownst to Sahana, he had held onto the ring for three months, patiently waiting for the perfect moment to pop the question. Cleverly, he concealed the ring inside an old Mac tower, confident that she would never think to look there (he succeeded). Yosemite was one of the very first trips they took with one another so it was special to be able to come back together and share in this moment. Tanner's thoughtful "sno-posal" made it even more special ♡
