Best Man
I grew up in Elmhurst, IL, about a block away from the groom’s childhood home, and we have been close friends since the 2nd grade. Twenty-six years later, in 2005, I was blessed to have Brian as best man at my wedding, and now, overjoyed that he and Amy have found each other as soul mates, I feel doubly blessed by the honor to be best man on their behalf. I live with my wife Stephanie in Saint Paul, MN, where I work in software engineering. My hobbies include trying new stuff (I recently joined a mini curling league – you should too!), short-course triathlon, and the Art of Making Pancakes.
Maid of Honor
Amy and I met seven years ago and together we are trudging this road to Happy Destiny! Along the way, I have had the pleasure of sharing many “wild” adventures with Amy. So grateful to be blessed with her kindred spirit. I am honored to bear witness to Amy and Brian’s vows and celebrate their covenant of marriage. I am married to my beloved Ryan and mother to a beautiful daughter Jaid. At the reception, definitely plan on finding me on the dance floor and please come dance with me!
Groomsman
Favorite little brother, husband, father to the infamous Scarlet Nicole, and avid fisherman. I'm not big on talking about myself so I will use this space to express how happy we (and I know I speak for the rest of the Allemanas) are to have Amy officially becoming a part of our family. It's obvious Brian and Amy are madly in love with each other, and I'm honored to be able to stand up and be a part of their special day. Cheers!
Bridesman
As Amy's only brother, I greatly look forward to fulfilling my "Bridesman" role for Amy & Brian's big evening ! Amy is my "Soul-Sis" in that we seem to often "get each other" on a deep level, and I'm so very happy that Brian & Amy have connected on that super level that will bring them much shared joy & love for the rest of their lives. A resident of Arabi, Louisiana (a suburb of New Orleans), I can't wait to travel to Chicago the first week of April to celebrate Amy & Brian's vows with the Allemana and Pendergast family members.
Groomsman
Older brother, guitarist, scholar In our youth, Brian and I did kid things—hanging with friends, getting into trouble. As teens, we developed a passion for music—me on guitar, he on drums. In college, I explored improvisation, Brian, composition. As adults, we pursued personal paths of investigating and practicing human connection. In 2018, while collaborating on a musical, astrological, and spiritual artistic project, I recognized that, though having taken different journeys, we had followed similar lines of inquiry into life’s riches of meaning. Brian will now share this evolving journey with his beautiful partner Amy who Maria, Gabriela and I are truly happy to welcome as a sister, aunt, and fellow traveler. We wish you both much happiness and look forward to celebrating your union.
