Sage and Teddy met in September of 2014. The story of how the two met was that of a fairytale. Introduced by friends Bryan and Ryleigh during their time at Cal State Fullerton, Sage had her eyes on Teddy, while Teddy, somewhat intimidated, spent much of his time avoiding her. After the hot start, Teddy wanted to give Sage another chance and asked her to a formal dance. They had a truly fantastic night of dancing, and laughing, and ditching everyone to hang out by themselves. A month or so later, Sage and Teddy took a road trip to San Francisco through Big Sur where they truly fell for each other. Exploring the city, eating the best Chinese food, and watching the waves along 17 Mile Drive at Pebble Beach, they knew they had something more than special.
Teddy proposed to Sage on June 15, 2019 at Glacier Point in Yosemite. Teddy had planned the weekend trip months in advance under the guise that the two of them would be exploring the park along with his brother, Mike, a photographer, who knows the park well. This, of course, was a dead giveaway to Sage. While in Yosemite, the three hiked to Taft Point and Glacier Point to see incredible views of the valley. As the sun was setting across the face of Half Dome, Teddy got down on one knee, retrieved the ring from his pocket, and asked Sage to spend the rest of her life with him. Perfectly prepared, Mike was able to capture the moment beautifully.
