Lukas and Sage met working at a German restaurant in May of 2020. Lukas was a line cook in the kitchen, and Sage was a server. They quickly grew a friendship, bonding over their love for the outdoors, adventure, and climbing. On July 10th, 2020, Lukas asked Sage to go climbing at Smith Rock State Park and they've been inseparable ever since. On March 7th, 2023, Lukas proposed to Sage at the base of the first climb they ever did together.
