Due to COVID-19 we will be postponing our reception. We will still be getting married May 16th with only our immediate family, and will have our reception May 8th, 2021. Hopefully, by then we can have everyone join us to celebrate our marriage. Although it has been a stressful time for everyone we look forward to making to best of what we have. Thank you for understanding and we can't wait to celebrate with everyone later. Stay safe and healthy everyone.
We met on a Mid-November Saturday night in 2016. Sage was at a Girl's Night and Kib was home from college for a friends birthday. All of these plans changed when they both ended up at Fig's Shed. Kib came to Fig's to watch the McGregor fight and Sage came there with her friends. By extreme happenstance they happened to be at the same place at the same time. As the night went on Sage made the first move and asked her friend about that cute guy across the room (Kib). She was blown away by his extreme handsomeness, manners and kindness. As the night went on we chatted for awhile and eventually got to know each other in the coming weeks and months and years, thanks to some mutual friends that pushed us in the right directions along the way.
The day began by moving Sage out of her childhood home in Perrysville. We spent the day filling boxes and packing cars; making our trips to Goodwill and to Mansfield. The night before Kib told Sage about the dinner plans he got as a perk from work and they came with reservations to a nice restaurant. To go to the restaurant they needed to dress up and they had to be near Cleveland by 5. As they got closer to the restaurant Kib told Sage that they were early were early for their dinner reservations, so he took her to a cute little town near the restaurant to walk around and kill time. Near by was the town's covered bridge, a perfect place to walk to. As they were walking around they went down the bridge and came walking back through. When we came back a mother and daughter were having a photo shoot. Sage told Kib that "We were in their picture." Kib responded that "We are the picture." (Sage didn't know that was our photographer with her daughter.) As we came to the end of the bridge Kib kissed Sage and reminded her how much he loves her. "I like you a lot." Then he got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course she said yes! Then both families met them at the "dinner reservations" to celebrate. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at Willow Haven!
