Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Camp Wokanda 620 E Boy Scout Rd Chillicothe, IL 61523 (about 15 minutes from Peoria). As soon as you enter the Camp, keep left all the way down until you see a large parking lot to your left. After parking, you will be guided down a walking path. The dining hall is the large building to your right. The ceremony site is past the dining hall through a wooded path to your left. There will be signs leading the way. Please view the map of Camp Wokanda under the Travel section.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1st so we can finalize all the details.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Click the RSVP section at the top of this website, and search your last name. You'll need to fill out who in your party will be attending for each event on the wedding day (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and bonfire). You'll be asked what food option you'd prefer. This is to get a general idea of preferences to let the caterers know, however you can choose either option that day if you change your mind. If you're having trouble figuring out how to RSVP on this website, let us know by text or phone call.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

The RSVP section will show you this information when you search your last name. We gave the option to RSVP for plus ones to those who are in a relationship. Please let us know if you think there's a mistake and would like a plus one.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is dressy casual/semi formal. The ceremony and cocktail hour are outside, so dress for fall weather and wear some comfy shoes.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive for the ceremony at 4 pm. The ceremony will begin at 4:30 pm.

Question

Are there any hotel blocks for wedding guests?

Answer

We don't have any hotel blocks for the weekend, however we rented the whole lower section of Camp Wokanda for Friday and Saturday. Let us know if you'd like to camp! Find more camping information in the travel section of this website.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside. The reception will be inside the dining hall.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Everyone will head over to the lawn outside of the dining hall for drinks, snacks, and lawn games. Dinner and dancing in the dining hall will follow. Then we'll end the night with a bonfire!

Question

What's on the Menu?

Answer

We'll have two food trucks for you to choose from. Eddy’s Sweet Island: An authentic Mexican food truck serving 4 street tacos per person. They’ll have steak, chicken, pastor, discada, and veggie tacos to choose from with corn tortillas (GF). Rubi’s Brickoven Pizza: A wood-fired pizza truck serving 1 individual 10” pizza per person. You’ll be able to choose either cheese, pepperoni, supreme, or a specialty white pizza with garlic butter sauce, sausage, onion, and cheese (no GF crust options).

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will be providing plenty of beer and wine. The venue also allows guests to bring their own alcohol including hard seltzers, beer, wine, etc. They only ask that no hard liquor is present at the wedding.

Question

What is the wedding theme?

Answer

The wedding is a wildflower type theme with vibrant jewel tones. There will be a colorful, eclectic mix of vintage and bohemian style decor.

Question

Can we fish or swim at the lake?

Answer

Sorry, there won't be any fishing or swimming allowed.
