We had met like many other college couples, at a party. Sage and his roommates were always hosting small parties on the weekends and my friend had brought me with her one weekend. We were over there quite a bit since she lived next door to him. I started showing up to the parties even when my friend was busy. Sage walked into his kitchen one night during the week and I was standing there heating up the mashed potatoes I had brought with me as if I lived there. He quickly realized that my presence was going to be a usual occurrence from then on out.

We went to a restaurant called Connected which was the same restaurant that Sage had met my parents and grandparents for the first time after my graduation. After dinner, we took a walk along the riverfront and I could tell Sage was scoping out the perfect spot. He got down on one knee and got straight to the point, "will you marry me"? Easiest question I'd ever been asked. We then went to one of our favorite bars on the Riverfront to soak it all in and spend time with our new fiances.
