We met while Adam was in his last year of fellowship and I was a nurse at Newark Beth Israel in Newark, NJ. If you know Adam, you know he is always FULL of jokes. On December 12, 2015, while Adam was feeling just lovely after a long on-call shift, he saw that I was charting on my work computer, or "COW" as he would like to call it. The first words Adam spoke to me were, "I see you looking for my badge, you and your fluffy hair." Of course, I was offended and demanded to know what the name of this crazy, flip-flop wearing in the middle of December, man's name was. After a few more encounters and hospital pages about wound dressings, we had our first date at The Cheesecake Factory (big-time ballers).

Adam surprised me with a quick, romantic getaway to Paris, France. He kept telling me that we were spending a week's vacation in Ohio, but sprung the surprise 2 days before our flight. On a cold, rainy day, we went for a walk along the Seine River in front of the Eiffel Tower. A hidden photographer was waiting for us along the river. Next thing I knew, he was on one knee, in the rain, when he asked me to marry him. We were engaged exactly one year after our "fluffy hair" encounter. It was incredibly romantic and unforgettable. The rest is history. We now live in the small, but historic town of Yorktown, VA with our darling/satan kitty, Savannah May. We chose to get married in Charlottesville, VA after a weekend wine tour trip. We fell in love with the quaint downtown and beautiful landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
