FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Smart casual dress is encouraged, allowing you to dance the night away! Consider incorporating the wedding colors - Orange and Lavender - into your outfit if you wish.

Question

Can I bring kids?

Answer

The wedding and reception is adults only.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Our reception will have vegetarian, gluten-free, and non-dairy options. Please note any further food allergies in your RSVP or email us at pasnik.patel@gmail.com with the subject line "food allergy" and we will do our best to accommodate.

Question

You've known each other for 11 years and dated for over 4, what took you so long to get married?

Answer

Fine relationships, like wine, need time to mature and develop complexity, so we chose to marry when our relationship is in full bloom.

Question

Michael: how did you get so lucky?

Answer

Michael says he doesn't know why such a wonderful and handsome man like Sagar chose to marry him, but Michael is thrilled to be spending a lifetime together!

Question

From proposal to wedding day was only four months... is this a shotgun wedding?

Answer

Um.... it doesn't work that way for us, please ask your mom or dad to explain the birds and the bees to you.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline

Answer

We expect you to complete your RSVP no later than July 31st. So, it will give us enough time to prepare for the final counts on the wedding day.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony

Answer

We suggest guests arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled ceremony start time. This allows ample time for finding seats, greeting other guests, and settling in before the ceremony begins. Arriving early also provides a buffer for potential traffic delays

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guest list just for those who know us well. The names of all guests invited to attend are listed on your invitation, and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding and the reception will take place indoors. Guests will walk to the garden on paved pathways but will need to step onto the grass briefly to take their seats. For that reason, stiletto or otherwise-thin heels are not recommended.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour.

Question

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

A 30 to 45 minutes cocktail hour will take place between the wedding ceremony and reception. The wedding venue and reception venue are a 10-15 minute scenic drive away.

Question

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding hashtag is #PasTel.

Question

Where will wedding updates be posted?

Answer

Additional updates or changes that need your attention will appear on our wedding website homepage.

Question

I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?

Answer

Kindly contact us on our cell phone with any further questions ahead of the wedding.

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

You can find our complete registry fund here on our website under the "Registry" tab, or you can bring it to the reception.

Question

What’s the key to a happy life together?

Answer

The only thing Michael learnt during our relationship is "Sagar is ALWAYS right to little bit left to right," which makes us like HAPPIEST together.

Question

Who made the first move?

Answer

The story varies depending on who is asked. But we all know it's Sagar!

Question

Who is more likely to cry during the ceremony?

Answer

Place your bets now! It's a toss-up. Let us know later so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What are you looking forward to most about being married?

Answer

Spending the rest of your lives annoying each other and blaming Michael for lost socks and Sagar for breaking anything in the house. But we are certain to have an amazing and memorable life together.

Question

Why is the wedding on a weekday?

Answer

Don't think we're being Gujarati and miserly, but it will be our 4th anniversary, and Sagar thought it would be good to save Michael from having to remember one more date.
