On February 18th, 2018, Katie and Jackson were set up on a blind date by her Maid of Honor, Bailey Brenek. Both 16, Katie, a Sophomore, and Jackson, a Junior in High School. That night was filled with Bahama Bucks snowcones, board games, and plenty of laughter! If you were to ask Katie, it was love at first sight. Jackson, however, thought she was cute! He would soon find out how hard she is to shake! Several dates turned into a relationship on March 4th, 2018. Thus, many softball games, golf tournaments, group friendship gatherings, homecomings, and proms took place. When it was time for college, Katie and Jackson knew their love was intended for the long haul. Jackson, being a year older, and both choosing to attend different colleges meant long distance for the next four years. But this challenge was nothing in the face of faith and love. Therefore, on July 19th, 2025, Jackson popped the question! Saying “yes” for Katie was as easy as a single breath.
