Our wedding is taking place in both Canada and the United States so passports are necessary. Our ceremony is taking place at a church in Windsor, Ontario while our reception is taking place in St Claire shores, Michigan only a few hours later (there is about a 35 minute drive to the reception from the church). The reception is taking place on a yacht that will be chartered for 5 hours. Once you are on the boat, you will not be able to get off, until it docks again for the evening, which is scheduled for 10:30pm. Please ensure that if you are RSVPing "yes" to our reception, know that you will not be able to leave the reception until it docks at 11pm, unless you'd like to swim home!
Please arrive at the church between 12:00 and 12:15 p.m to allow ample time for parking and getting seated before the procession begins at 12:30 p.m.
We are so grateful for your love, and would appreciate gifts in the form of monetary gifts! Should you wish to gift us, we ask that you’d consider an e-transfer, simply so as to reduce how much cash we have to cross the border with, as our reception is in the US. You may send an etransfer to victorwedding2025@gmail.com
There is limited parking in the parking lot across from the church on Benjamin st. We recommend arriving early to ensure that you can find a spot on the side streets around the church.
We want our friends and family to fully enjoy and cherish each moment with us. To help make this possible, we’ve hired a wonderful photographer to capture all the special memories. We kindly ask that you keep your phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony, so you can be truly present with us.
No. Our wedding ceremony is taking place at St. Mary and St. Moses Coptic Orthodox Church in Windsor, Ontario while our reception is taking place 40 minutes away in Detroit, Michigan. Please remember to bring your passport and allow enough time for border crossing. We recommend heading to Michigan right after the ceremony and enjoying one of the activities listed in the "Things to Do" tab before the cocktail hour begins.
To ensure we can accommodate all guests comfortably within the venues capacity, we ask that only invited guests attend our wedding festivities. You'll find the details about your party size (including whether it includes a plus one) on your invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you!
We’re inviting you to wear the most stunning outfit you own — the dress or suit you’ve been saving for something truly special. Think elegant, timeless, and just shy of a red carpet. Not quite black-tie, but certainly the most beautiful, jaw-dropping, "I’ve been waiting to wear this" look in your closet. Ladies: Picture the dress that makes you feel like royalty. Maybe it’s silky, maybe it sparkles — either way, it turns heads. Gents: A tailored suit or elevated separates, sleek shoes, and confidence to match.
Since our reception is across the Windsor-Detroit border, we kindly encourage you to cross over shortly after the ceremony. With two hours before the reception begins, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore the charm of downtown Detroit! For ideas, check out the “Things to Do” tab on our wedding website—we hope you enjoy this little adventure before the celebration continues.
