It was a cloudy afternoon on September 18, 2023, and a beautiful girl had just liked Isaac's profile on Hinge. Isaac was trying to come up with the perfect opening line for a conversation. Sadie was wondering if Isaac would choose to match with her or not. That night they messaged for hours until getting rest for work in the morning. The next few days, Isaac and Sadie messaged each other for hours and on Wednesday September 20, Isaac asked Sadie if she wanted to meet halfway. Once they knew the day and time, Sadie typed out "It's a date." They met at Hayswood Nature Reserve in Corydon and talked from 2:30-5:30. In the middle of conversation, Isaac said "If we're going to keep talking, we should probably grab dinner." So they went to Cracker Barrel a few minutes away. At the end of dinner, Sadie asked Isaac if he would like her phone number, catching him off guard and confusing him. Once he figured out what was happening, he said yes. "What drew me to Isaac initially was that he loved the Lord and was passionate about his hobbies: reading, video games, dnd. But as we kept talking and meeting, I noticed so much more. Isaac is my shoulder to cry on, my biggest cheerleader, one of the funniest people I've ever met. The way he prays for me and also takes care of and respects me is something I never realized I could even find. He always tells me I am beautiful and admires my caring heart, and that is everything to me." -Sadie "What drew me to Sadie was that she liked my Hinge profile still not sure why she did that but here we are still going strong. I can't wait to be her husband and to love and cherish her the rest of my days." -Isaac The two of them kept meeting halfway and grabbed coffee, ice cream, dinner, read the Bible, and went on more walks in parks together. It went from initial attraction to discussing what it would look like to move forward and think about God's design for marriage. On October 19, 2023, Isaac asked Sadie to be his girlfriend. Obviously, she said yes. After years of thinking about marriage and praying for a future spouse; Sadie noticed around the third or fourth date that Isaac had qualities she had prayed for as an 18 year old high school senior. For Isaac, he had started thinking about a spouse in the past few years and felt like God desired for him to propose to Sadie. On April 20, 2024, Isaac and Sadie met at Hayswood Nature Reserve again to celebrate their six month anniversary the day before. Isaac had been corresponding with Sophie and Krisanne, Sadie's sister and mom, for quite a bit of time beforehand. He asked her father, Jeff, for permission to propose in January. Much to Sadie's surprise, as she had just bought a coffee, Isaac got down on one knee in the middle of the trail they walked on where they first met. It wasn't even a question and she immediately said yes and started feeling giggly. They then went to Cracker Barrel to have dinner in the exact same spot as their first date to celebrate the engagement, and now here they are.
