Wedding Party

Meet the family and friends who have been part of our story and will be by our side on our wedding day.

Sadie

Bride

Sadie is the woman Charles always dreamed of but never expected to find. From the moment they first met, Charles instantly felt that something was different. The chemistry between them came easily. Although their first date consisted mostly of Charles playing live music, what followed afterward was nothing short of magical. The Pink Floyd album "Wish You Were Here" played on repeat as they sat in his truck until the late hours, talking about everything they had ever wanted in life and in a future partner. It all aligned. Do not be fooled though, there were also many moments of them simply staring at each other, giggling and smiling. Even when no words were spoken, moments like these said almost everything. As time went on, more about Sadie became clear to Charles. She is loving, supportive, fun, and accepts Charles exactly as he is. The good, the bad, the exciting, and the surges of childlike chaos in between. What Charles loves most about Sadie is that she has never tried to change him. She has only ever wanted to grow alongside him. It is a feeling of love, understanding, and support he never imagined he would find. He has fallen in love with her drive, her excitement, her search for excitement yet her appreciation for lazy days, and her natural sense of balance. She is his life, his love, his best friend, and everything he could have hoped or dreamed for. He cannot imagine spending his life with anyone else, and every day with her makes his life feel more complete.

Charles

Groom

Charles is talented, kind, and endlessly curious about the world around him. From playing music on stage to spending quiet moments on the lake, he pours his whole heart into everything he does. His creativity and passion are matched by a steady, grounding presence that makes even the simplest moments feel meaningful. From the very beginning, Charles brought laughter, warmth, and a sense of ease into Sadie’s life. His humor has a way of lightening even the hardest days, while his thoughtfulness and unwavering support make her feel deeply seen and understood. Whether he’s strumming his bass guitar, planning the next adventure, or simply showing up when it matters most, Charles leads with love and intention. More than anything, Charles is Sadie’s safe place, her partner, best friend, and teammate in every sense of those words. Life with him is filled with comfort, woven together by a love that feels both exciting and steady. Loving Charles has always felt natural, and choosing him has never felt like a question but only a certainty. He is home, he is joy, and he is the person Sadie wants to walk through every chapter of life with, forever.

Katelyn

Maid of Honor

Katie and Sadie have been inseparable best friends since September 2016. Their story began through a shared circle of friends, but they officially met during a longboarding outing which was an afternoon that marked the start of a friendship that would grow into something truly unbreakable. Over the years, Katie and Sadie have shared countless days side by side, navigating life together through every season. They even lived together for few years, sharing a home with Katie’s now-husband and her twin sister. That time helped them create memories that turned friendship into family. Through laughter, adventures, late nights, and everyday moments, their bond only deepened. Katie has been a constant source of encouragement, joy, and unwavering support. She has shown up in every chapter of Sadie’s life with loyalty, kindness, and a spirit that makes even the hardest moments feel lighter. Sadie has been incredibly honored to watch Katie grow, evolve, and become an amazing mother over the years which has been an experience that has made her admiration for her even deeper. More than a best friend, Katie is chosen family. Having her stand as Maid of Honor on this day is a reflection of nearly a decade of love, trust, and shared life. Sadie truly couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without her by her side.

Parker

Best Man

Parker and Charles met in 4th grade at Garwood Elementary. A couple of topics were brought up about Star Wars, and the rest was history! From writing their own Star Wars scripts, stop-motion LEGO animation sessions, and full-blown lightsaber choreography, their friendship took off and has not missed a beat in nearly 25 years! The nerdery continues to this day, with many of the same activities continuing to present day. They are still bonded best friends, keeping their inner childhood spirit alive in the chaos of the real adult world, making Parker the ideal Best Man on such a special day!

Jaylene

Bridesmaid

Sadie and Jaylene became close friends about five years ago, though their connection runs deeper through Jaylene’s husband, Tom, who has been a family friend for many years. When Sadie and Jaylene finally met, their friendship formed quickly and naturally, growing into something truly special. Sadie lovingly calls her by “J-bird”, Jaylene has always been someone Sadie can count on by offering steady support, thoughtful guidance, and unconditional care from the heart. Their friendship has been built in both quiet and joyful moments, from early morning walks filled with meaningful conversations to countless late nights full of laughter and memories they’ll cherish forever. Through every season, Jaylene has shown up with warmth, wisdom, and a nurturing presence that makes those around her feel safe and supported. Having Jaylene standing by Sadie’s side on this day is incredibly meaningful, representing a friendship rooted in trust, love, and genuine connection.

Ty

Groomsman

Ty and Charles met through Parker in the 6th grade. Although they did not immediately click, Ty’s high-spirited energy slowly brought Charles out of his shell, and their bond grew from there. They both realized they had more in common than they had originally thought. This bond grew heavily through their 20’s as college roommates and further after college completion. In present day, these two have spent plenty of days bonding over vinyl records, shared music taste, their love for the Seahawks, cats, 3 a.m. three-course meal cooking sessions, skiing, and trips to Oregon. These moments have made these two brothers and best friends. They continually communicate and hang out during the best and worst times of life. These two friends have a bond that will carry on for a lifetime.

Osker

Groomsman

After almost a year of a mutual friend, Ty, pestering Charles to come down to an open music night at Good Times Taproom in CDA, he finally caved, not knowing that it would alter his musical path forever. Charles was greeted by Oskar, a high-energy, kind, and talented guitar player and singer, who invited him to jump right in. They locked eyes as they started a cover of the song “Joker,” and that set the tone for their present-day friendship. The vibe was immaculate, and the music was tight! To present day, you can find Charles and Oskar partaking in any musical endeavor they can find, from original tunes and wedding gigs to bar cover bands. There are plenty more memories they have shared, like lake days, long phone calls, Mac Miller vinyl nights, and late-night rounds of pool, that have made these two brothers a pair that cannot be stopped or separated, no matter what they decide to do together!

Brenden

Bridesman

Brenden is Sadie’s brother and one of her greatest sources of love, support, and laughter. Growing up, they shared a childhood that asked them to lean on each other in ways most siblings never have to. During times when the world felt uncertain, Brenden stepped in as a protector, a constant presence, and someone Sadie could always count on. They spent much of their childhood side by side, walking through life together, sharing friends, and creating memories in the small moments that mattered most. Some of their favorite times were spent at sleepovers with close friends, watching Brenden play video games, and simply being together in spaces that felt safe and familiar. Through every stage of life, their bond has only grown stronger. Brenden’s steady support and sense of humor have carried Sadie through childhood and into adulthood, making it impossible to imagine such an important day without him standing by her side. Having Brenden with her on this day represents a lifetime of resilience, loyalty, and unconditional sibling love.

Sky

Bridesmaid

Sadie and Sky first became friends in high school after being introduced through a mutual friend, Blake. Although their friendship only lasted about a year at the time, life eventually brought them back together in an unexpected way. Years later, their paths crossed again when Charles and Brandon’s band played a show at The Big Dipper in Spokane and from that night on, it felt like no time had passed at all. Reconnecting so effortlessly, Sadie and Sky quickly fell back into friendship, growing even closer through shared laughter, support, and countless nights spent cheering on the boys at gigs. Some of their favorite memories are made during those late nights of music playing, conversations flowing, and friendships deepening in the spaces between songs. Sky has become such a meaningful part of Sadie’s life, and their friendship is one that feels both familiar and exciting, built on reconnection, shared experiences, and genuine care for one another. Having Sky standing by Sadie’s side on this day is incredibly special, celebrating not only love, but the kind of friendship that finds its way back when it’s meant to.

Brandon

Groomsman

Brandon and Charles met a short three years ago. What started as a random jam session at one of Charles’s gigs, at Chalice Brewing in CDA, turned into an unexpected and tight brotherhood. They immediately bonded over their love for blues and Alice in Chains. They continue to play music together in their present-day band called Jip Skippy and The Unprepared. If they are not throwing down nasty riffs, you can usually find them, all smiles, playing pool, drooling over old Ford trucks, or closing down Rusty’s for a late-night karaoke session. What started as an unexpected friendship has turned into a bond that will last a lifetime.

Jennika

Bridesmaid

Jennika is Sadie’s sister and one of her closest friends. From childhood to adulthood, their bond has been shaped by shared memories, laughter, and a lifetime of growing up side by side. One of Sadie’s favorite childhood memories is the mornings they spent having breakfast together before Grandpa took them to school. Jennika always wanted to be just like Sadie by eating the same foods, drinking the same drinks, even insisting on having “pink chocolate milk,” which was really just strawberry milk. Their childhood was also filled with laughter that still carries into adulthood. One unforgettable moment came when Brenden and Sadie were teasing Jennika and asked, “How do you spell Jennika?” before answering, “T-U-R-K-E-Y.” An understandably upset Jennika yelled back, “AND THAT SPELLS CHICKEN!”. That was a moment the family still laughs about to this day. As they grew older, their relationship only deepened. Jennika has been a constant source of support, understanding, and unconditional love through every stage of life. Having her standing by Sadie’s side on this day represents a lifetime of shared memories, inside jokes, and sisterhood, making it incredibly meaningful to celebrate such a special moment together.

Ian

Groomsman

Charles met Ian through his sister, Sam, while they were attending Washington State University, and their bond was instant. Charles often jokes that he found his non-biological twin in Ian. They are equally loud and obnoxious, share a love for the outdoors and whatever adventures they can find, and both proudly keep their inner five-year-old alive and well. At the same time, they can sit down and have meaningful, adult conversations about life and real world issues when it matters. Each time they see each other, it is like no time has passed at all. Charles couldn’t be happier to have Ian as part of his family, both as a brother-in-law and as one of his closest friends. He’s incredibly grateful to have such a thoughtful, loving, kind, and high spirited guy standing by his side on such a special day.

Sam

Bridesmaid

Charles could not have asked for a better sister than Sam. They have always been incredibly close, despite nearly 1,400 miles separating them for the past few years. Even though Charles is the oldest sibling, he has often found himself turning to Sam during hard times for their support and advice. Their strong bond began in early childhood and was built through countless shared moments like lake days, camping trips, family gatherings, school sporting events, and so much more. One of Charles’s favorite memories of Sam comes from their childhood, when they would pretend to be “Goom,” a wild alter ego inspired by a Spider-Man comic book. Goom’s mission was to chase, cause chaos, terrorize, and break every rule ever written. All playfully, of course. As they’ve grown into adulthood, their bond has only become stronger. Charles believes this is thanks to their shared ability to keep that same fun, playful childhood energy alive. Which is the very thing that brought them so close in the first place. From Sadie's perspective, becoming Sam’s future sister-in-law felt easy and natural from the very beginning. They are someone she know she can count on and depend on, and their kindness and support mean more to her than they know. That trust and connection are exactly why Sadie chose them to stand by her side as one of her bridesmaids.

Nate

Groomsman

Charles and Nate had a pretty classic big brother and little brother relationship growing up, with constant bickering, annoying each other to no end, and driving their parents insane. That did not mean they did not share plenty of good memories and common interests, including athletics, a deep love for music, and a shared passion for many forms of creative arts. Several of Charles’s fondest memories with Nate include the day Nate discovered Charles’s handwritten Star Wars fan fiction scripts. Charles was embarrassed and a little upset when he caught Nate reading them while laughing uncontrollably. The mood quickly shifted, though, as they began discussing plot structure and character development, diving headfirst into the storytelling behind the scripts. Another favorite memory was when they created “The Concert of Impression,” which was an air guitar concert featuring their favorite bands, Rush and Nirvana, fully convinced it would win over the hearts of all their childhood crushes. Charles could not be happier to have Nate as part of his wedding day. They have stuck together through the best and worst of times, but that is no surprise. They are brothers after all!

Brad

Groomsman

Charles and Brad met in high school band in 2010. What started as a simple friendship between classmates quickly grew into a brotherly connection that has lasted to this day. When out in public, they are often mistaken for biological brothers. They formed their first band in 2011 called “Station 7,” an instrumental rock group that sadly went nowhere due to spending more time at Dairy Queen than booking gigs or practicing, which is probably exactly what you would expect from teenagers. Over the years, however, their musical connection has only grown stronger as they have played together in countless bands, creating a drums and bass rhythm section that will give any music group a run for their money. Just ask them about their semi serious business idea, “Anchored Down,” and do not get them started on the debate over which band is superior, Led Zeppelin or Rush! Although music is their biggest shared passion, you can also find them enjoying many other activities together, including Raiders versus Seahawks debates, hot pepper challenges, barbecues, yard games, and of course their mutual love of Star Wars. These are just a few of the reasons this friendship has been one of the easiest and most enduring parts of Charles’s life. Charles is beyond excited to share his wedding day with Brad.

Chase

Officiant

Charles and Chase officially met when Charles was hired at Timber Ridge Landscape and Design in 2023. Although their paths had crossed a few times before, Charles joining Chase’s company turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to him. As they spent more time working together, what began as a boss and employee relationship quickly grew into a close friendship. It is rare to find a moment when they are not on the same page. Despite not knowing each other early in life, they later discovered their childhoods were remarkably similar. From family lake days, to the type of boat or Class C motorhome their parents owned, to even their first vehicles, it often feels as though they were raised side by side. In present day, when they are not grinding a 12 hour day in the landscaping world, Charles and Chase can be found enjoying boating season with their families, golfing, catching a football game, tearing it up on the ski slopes at a local mountain, or talking through their shared visions of what their future old dad styles might look like. Charles considers Chase to be one of his greatest mentors and role models. While their goofy moments bring them plenty of laughter, it is the serious moments of life that have shaped this friendship into something Charles never imagined. He is deeply grateful for Chase’s drive, guidance, and advice. In Charles’s mind, there is no one better to officiate such an important day than one of his greatest mentors and best friends.
