Blake and Sadie met when they were teenagers. Both grew up around each other for years, but never shown any interest in each other. Blake was best friends with Sadie’s step-brother, Tyler, and quite frankly, she thought they were annoying. After Sadie returned from college, things started to change. It was her mom’s 50th Birthday celebration and Blake had to work that day. He wasn’t planning on coming, but Tyler convinced him just to swing by. After a few drinks and flirting back and forth, Blake ended up reaching out to Sadie the next day, which resulted in planning their 1st date! For a few weeks they continued dating without alarming anyone until they were certain they were interested in perusing a serious relationship. Blake asked Sadie to be his girlfriend on June 1, 2019.

It was a tough start to the first day of their Disney vacation when they both overslept and missed the hotel shuttle to Magic Kingdom. In typical Sadie fashion, she was being overdramatic stating that the day had been “ruined”. Blake reassured her that everything was going to be okay and that she should take her time getting ready so they could “look good in pictures”(Blake never cares about pictures so Sadie was on high alert). After getting ready and picking the perfect outfits, they made their way to the park. On the monorail ride over, Blake was secretively texting Sadie’s cousin, Kalista, to meet them at the front of the castle. Once they made it through the gates, they made a beeline to the photographer in front of the castle. The family took turns getting photos, but saved Sadie and Blake’s photo together until the end. Blake asked the photographer for “one more photo” and thats when he dropped to one knee!
