Sadie and Ari met at 16 years old on a life changing trip to Israel. Ari remembers thinking that Sadie was cool and fun to talk to. Sadie remembers that Ari was a goofball with curly hair and bright green braces (see the photos page for evidence). They both have fond memories of the trip and remember sharing laughs with new friends as they explored the beautiful country.

13 years later, Ari saw Sadie on a dating app and decided to send her a message that said, "Hey! I know you!" Sadie, answered back, so they met up shortly after and spent a whole night catching up over wine and cheese. That date, as one might conclude, led to many others. It wasn't long before they realized there was something rather special blossoming.

After several months of quarantining during the pandemic with the Pincus family, Ari decided it was time to pop the question. He asked Sadie's parents for their blessing to propose to Sadie and of course they said yes! Through some cunning and covert planning, Ari found a jeweler who opened the shop just for him so he could buy the perfect ring for a special person. On May 22, 2020, a Friday afternoon, Ari popped the question and Sadie said YES! Believe it or not the engagement was not the only exciting thing to happen to this newly engaged couple. The very next day they found out they were growing their family by one adorable, energetic puppy named Kugel.
