Fog Willow Farms
Super cute pumpkin patch with a petting zoo, treats, and general fall happiness. It's just a couple minutes away from the venue. Elk Grove locals have likely been on a field trip here once or twice! Sadie's fourth grade teacher manages this farm.
Crocker Art Museum
Beautiful art museum with a collection of different styles like sculptures, classic paintings, and modern and ancient art. Cute gift shop with many trinkets. This is a favorite stop of Sadie's family!
Midtown Farmers Market
Eli and Sadie used to live within walking distance of this large farmer's market! It runs from 8am - 12pm on Saturday morning. You can find pastries, coffee, lunch, as well as trinkets and clothing and leather goods and other fun things! Note: parking is challenging, it's best to park a few blocks away and plan on walking!
Meadow Lake Farm: Lake adventures

American River Parkway: Trail system
This is a favorite spot of Eli's and Sadie's. Eli proposed here on the parkway trail! This is a great spot for walking, jogging, or biking. There's lots of wildlife: beautiful flowers and vines, ducks and geese, other birds like woodpeckers, and deer! We recommend parking at the address listed here, it's right next to the entrance to the trail. Note: bikes go fast on this trail! Pedestrians, keep to the left and stay alert!
The Boulder Field
This is one of Eli's and Sadie's favorite climbing gyms! It's all bouldering, it has multiple sections and is very approachable for those new to climbing. Check out the website for day pass information. The employees are very nice and happy to show you a few things if this is new! And for parents: kids are awesome at rock climbing. This is an activity for people of all ages. They also have a bar with coffee and beer, a ping pong table, chess boards, a general workout area, and plenty of seating.
Flatland Brewing Company
This brewery has great food and drinks! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, which is perfect for fall nights. Sadie used to go to this running group when she lived in Elk Grove, mostly for the hanging out after. If you're there on a Tuesday at 6pm, you'll come across a big group of sweaty people!
18 Grams Coffee Roasters
This is a great coffee shop near the venue! You can also get delicious breakfast burritos and various pastries here! Note: Sadie's favorite Goodwill is in the same parking lot, if you are in a thrifty mood.
57th Street Antique Mall
This antique mall has four different antique stores and a Hawaiian food restaurant in the middle! It's a great place to go for treasure seeking! Beware: You may find items similar to Christmas presents that Sadie has gifted you in the past...
