Travel recommendations for our out of town guests!

Travel Note

SUMMARY

Our wedding weekend will take place in Brooklyn: Friday's event is in the Williamsburg neighborhood and Saturday's event will take place in Dumbo (about a 15 minute drive from one another, most easily accessible via Uber or Lyft). We recommend staying near either venue, however Manhattan is also a great option and accessible to Brooklyn via subway or taxi / ride share (please account for traffic if traveling by car).

Flight

Airports

New York City has three primary airports: LaGuardia (LGA) Airport in Queens is the closest airport to both Manhattan and Brooklyn. JFK Airport in Queens and Newark airport in Newark, NJ, are also options (JFK is closer to Brooklyn and both airports are equidistant to Manhattan). All airports offer various methods of public transportation, as well as Uber, Lyft, and traditional taxi service.

Train

Trains

If traveling from a nearby East Coast city, the Amtrak train is another great travel option to New York City (set your drop off location as New York Penn Station). There are also several train options to Grand Central Terminal in the heart of Manhattan from nearby areas around New York (all train information can be found online and via the station websites).

Hotel

Hotels

We have not organized a formal hotel block, however here are a few suggested options convenient to both venue locations: 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, NY Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge, Hampton Inn Brooklyn Downtown, Aloft NY Brooklyn, and the Hilton Brooklyn NY. There are several other hotel options in the area that can be found online, as well as AirBnB.
