It was a clear and starry night during early spring in Ames, IA when Sade walked into a bar and a red-headed bartender caught her eye with the most incredible smile ever. She quickly realized she had known her from high school. Sade went up and ordered shots and Katrina, being the thoughtful woman she is, served Sade and her friends. A few days later Katrina reached out to Sade to "take their dogs to the park". Sade being oblivious did not realize she was asking her out. After several dates of endless ice cream and late night drives full of conversation and laughs, Sade made a large gesture and surprised Katrina by flying out to Florida to ask her out while on her family's annual vacation. That became "their spot" and 6 years later during Covid-19 in the same exact spot, they eloped. Many would ask why two weddings? If you know Katrina and Sade they never follow the norm. They do things their own way making the impossible possible. As a couple, celebrating something so special should not be defined by what's going on in the world. Love is love and now they want to celebrate this love with their friends and family. <3
