COVID UPDATE

Keeping us all safe

As different versions of the Covid-19 virus spread, we highly encourage everyone to get vaccinated, and use common sense and social distancing whenever possible in weeks leading up to the wedding. We will be asking that masks are warn while seated closely at the ceremony, or inside the buildings, including bathrooms. We have a few high risk attendees who, although vaccinated, are still high risk, and ask your support in keeping them, and all of you, SAFE!

The Proposal

Ponce Inlet, FL

For their Five year anniversary, Melissa wanted to go enjoy the morning and sunrise at the beach. Thomas, agreed. On the beach, during sunrise, Thomas began recording a video, one in which he watched Melissa and provided some simple commentary. A video in which lasted longer than he meant to as he was having trouble opening a ring box with just one hand. Upon finally having it ready, he got down on one knee, and became speechless and nervous. Of Course, she said yes. The day was continued with swimming, kayaking, good food, and pure joy.

Our Donut Story

How they met

Thomas and Melissa met as most people do today, online! Both ready for more, they joined match.com in hopes of finding the right person to date, and who knows, marry one day. After searching, they finally came in contact, and spoke for over a month before they finally met. Just before meeting, Thomas took a work trip, as he did often in their first few years together. This trip took him to Austin, TX where he bought a donut. Not just any donut, but a donut roughly 12 inches in diameter. This donut was brought from Texas on a plane to their first date. Thomas and Melissa finally met in person on the night of August 29th, 2015, in Winter Park, FL. It was a stormy night, while Thomas watched Melissa run through the rain to the entrance of where he waited, little did either of them know, it was meant to be. They enjoyed their dinner at Mynt, sitting at a little table for two upstairs, chatting and enjoying a bottle of wine. After dinner, they knew the date wasn't over, but the rain ruined the original plans of go-carting, so they decided to go to Fiddlers Green; a popular bar and great atmosphere. They took his car and made it, but before going in, Thomas had a surprise. The donut, was waiting in the back of his car for them to share. Why a donut? Why this night? This donut acted as a birthday cake, as they rang in her Birthday in the parking lot of Fiddlers Green. Fast forward to Nov 2019, still together, Melissa went to visit her best friend (and Matron of Honor) who recently moved to, Austin, TX. Although a successful trip in itself, it was made even better by Melissa going to the same donut store, buying a donut, and bringing it on the plane to her love. Melissa and Thomas continue to surprise each other and take care of each other in small and large ways. Growing their love, and now taking the next step toward their forever.
