The couple graduated college in New Haven, Gina Ciara from Southern Connecticut State University, and Joseph Robert from the University of New Haven. The city, home to the couple's favorite and most frequented pizza places, is also where they first met in 2015. Before the pizza, however, were the tacos — another mutual delight over which they had their first date. Not wanting it to end and with a strip mall in sight, they continued bonding at Best Buy and Halloween stores, after which it was clear to them both that something special had formed. New Haven would also become the city where the couple shared their first apartment together before moving to Ossining, New York. Wherever they've gone, fun is never far behind, whether it's attending concerts and festivals with one another, hosting parties and get-togethers with friends and sharing holidays with two incredible families. On a professional level, Gina Ciara, a marketing leader and Joseph Robert, a music journalist, both thrive on creativity and keep one another encouraged and inspired. In December of 2019, after entering the welcoming gates to Magic Kingdom at Disney World in Orlando, Florida (late for their Peter Pan FastPass), the two stopped to pose for a photo on the walkway that lead to Cinderella's Castle. Then, on bended knee, the most momentous and life-changing question was asked — "Will you marry me?" Now, with a wondrous future ahead, they are set to embark on the "...and they live happily ever after" portion of this loving, magical relationship.
