I haven’t told Sacha this but when I went to pick up her ring, I had a moment in the car before leaving the parking lot. I knew she was the one but having her ring in my hand just made me so happy, I started to tear. A half second later, I was so excited I started yelling as if I just won the lottery. I swear, if you were in the car next to me, you would have thought I was crazy. But I didn’t care if I looked crazy, I was about ask the most beautiful person in the world to marry me.

We were in Yosemite celebrating a good friend’s birthday, and the first hike on the list was the 4-Mile Trail up to Glacier Point. If you’re ever in Yosemite, and are looking for a beautiful hike with a couple sets of switchbacks for a fun elevation change of 3,200 feet, this one's for you! It took us four hours (one way) but what Anthony had planned at the end of our trail made it all worthwhile. After soaking up Yosemite's stunning views, it was time for our couple photo. Anthony and I go up, everyone is looking at us, I’m ready to say cheese... and he stops to ask me to hold his hat while he finds something in his backpack. I immediately think, we had so much time to get ready and now everyone’s waiting. As I’m watching him rummage through his backpack, I realize something is off... Anthony doesn’t kneel like that. I look away because at this point I’m nervous, excited and shy, and can’t keep a straight face. I look at our group of friends and ask, "What is he doing?!" Nervous to look back, I turn around and he’s on one knee, ring in hand. ... To our friends and family, thank you for being a part of our journey. We love and appreciate you so much, and cannot wait to celebrate our marriage with you.
