We first met in 6th grade, sitting side by side in both band and art class. It didn’t take long for us to become best friends. Eventually, Zach asked me to be his girlfriend — and I said yes! (Though, I did break up with him two days later… over PlayStation.) Even after that middle school “breakup,” we stayed close friends all through middle and high school. Somewhere between art projects, inside jokes, and growing up together, those old feelings came back — and this time, they stuck. We started dating in high school and have been inseparable ever since.
