On one fateful night in November of 2018, the stars aligned to bring Nicolas and Sabrina together. During the beginning of their relationship, they would spend countless late nights on the phone discussing music, food, family, and other various topics. For Nicolas, long phone conversations were typically avoided; however, having these conversations with Sabrina was embraced and brought a lot of enjoyment. Together, they would lose track of time as their moments with each other would make several hours feel like a few minutes. December 5, 2018, marked their first official date, when Nicolas took Sabrina to the Amoeba Music record store because of their shared love of music. To end the night, they ate at Applebee's, where despite Sabrina's order of steak smothered in onions, a rack of ribs, pasta with extra garlic, French fries with lots of vinegar, and a side of onion rings, Nicolas decided to continue having more dates and long talks, building a friendship that laid the foundation for their relationship. In 2019, they made their relationship official, and throughout the years, they would survive the pandemic, a carnival cruise, San Diego tequila tours, London food, Catalina Island food, lines at Disneyland, Mexico, living together, and New York. In addition to other journeys and experiences where Nicolas and Sabrina faced their ups and downs, their love for each other always pulled through and helped them grow together to become better as a couple and as individuals. Fast forward to May 8, 2025, Nicolas was ready after six amazing years to propose by taking Sabrina on a sunset sailboat cruise. Despite not knowing how to swim, Nicolas risked his life and got down on one knee to propose. Even though the powerful winds and waves tried to knock him into the water, Nicolas was able to survive with the mission accomplished. While their first date on December 5, 2018, marked the start of their journey together, it will now soon be the anniversary they cherish each year. They look forward to a life of joy and laughter while enjoying their time with each other and loved ones.
