6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Fun cocktail attire (and shoes you'll be comfortable standing in and second lining through the streets in - heels are strongly discouraged!)
Please join us for our long-delayed wedding reception on Friday evening! We’ll have a New Orleans-style reception - a non-seated dinner full of Nola classic fare, dancing, cake (of COURSE there will be cake - many cakes, actually) and a full bar where you can indulge in the best cocktails in NOLA, including their world-famous Hurricanes. We’ve booked the second floor so not only will we have privacy, but also the Pat O’s balconies so you’re able to toss beads to the revelers below on Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras! If it gets too crowded for you (NOLA buildings are old and on the smaller side), you can hit the Pat O's courtyard downstairs for a breather. After the celebration, we’ll keep the party going with anyone who wishes to join as we Second Line with Kinfolk Brass Band from Pat O's through the Quarter to the Old Absinthe House for an informal, unhosted after party.
11:00 am - 1:00 pm
From Commander's Palace: Dress for a proper Southern brunch! Business attire; jackets are preferred for gentlemen. Collared shirts and closed-toed shoes required for gentlemen. NO shorts, flip-flops, t-shirts, sweat shirts or sweat pants - they literally won't let you in! Jeans are strongly discouraged; ripped jeans are not allowed.
This is a seated brunch versus an untimed drop-in, so please ensure you arrive at 11 AM and head to the Patio Room! The Patio Room is located on the main (ground) floor of the restaurant. you will be escorted there upon check-in at the front of the restaurant.
4:30 pm
Casual and comfortable!
We'll likely meet around Avenue Pub, which is our go-to. It's crowded so "staying together" may be a challenge but we'll all get to hang out in the same general area this way. Bring a bag to collect your throws - your welcome bag will do nicely! The parades begin rolling at 5, so getting onsite early will get you a better spot. We’ll bring the Fireball!
12:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Casual with comfortable walking shoes
Time/meeting location above is TBD, but we've arranged a private tour for our guests with four licensed New Orleans tour guides. The voodoo tour is one of the most interesting things we've done in NOLA - especially the exploration of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, home of New Orleans' most famous voodoo priestess, Marie Laveau - and we'd love to share it with you if you're staying in town on Sunday!
