Florence has one main airport, called Florence Airport, Peretola (FLR), also known as Amerigo Vespucci Airport. It is located about 4 kilometers northwest of the city center. Pisa Airport (PSA) is another option for reaching Tuscany, but it's about 80 km away from Florence.

Traveling from Rome to Florence is quick and easy. Over 50 trains leave a day on this route. The main terminal in Rome is Roma Termini which is 35 minutes from the Rome Airport, in the heart of Rome. Uber operates in Rome, but only the premium services. There is a fixed rate of 48 euros from FCO to Rome City Center with local taxis.
