We started off in the summer of 2009 as fellow high school percussion section members. We quickly became friends, then best friends, then realized we had been crushing on each other for quite some time. We started dating in the fall of 2012 and have been together ever since. We've done all the long distance - Melbourne and Orlando, Tallahassee and Orlando, both in Tallahassee, both in Boston, Boston and Virginia, and finally both in Pasadena, Maryland where now live (already married, shh...).

We both knew that if one of us won a military band job, we would get married in a quick court house ceremony so that we could enjoy the benefits of the job. When Mitchell won the Army Field Band job in February of 2019, we were talking on the phone on his drive home and he said "oh yeah, I guess do you wanna get married?" To which I replied with "oh that's right. Yeah, sure." Super romantic. Mitchell made it official on March 13th, 2019 when he proposed in our favorite park in Boston amidst the snow. Less romantic, but fine I suppose. We got married in Boston surrounded by immediate family on July 11th, 2019 and are now getting married once again surrounded by all of our family and friends in Maryland on October 10th, 2021.
