Sabrina and Kevin met at Kelly Student Commons at Manhattan College during March of 2020. After shaking hands and offering Sabrina M&M cookies, an unexpected friendship formed. They didn't see each other again until the quarantine summer. During one get together at Jones Beach, Sabrina was knocked over by a huge wave and thankfully, Kevin was able to swim over quickly and pull her out in time. As he carried her out of the water in his arms, Sabrina thought, "This would be a cool origin story to tell our kids one day." From that moment on, Sabrina and Kevin became best friends and were inseparable. Kevin taught Sabrina how to rock climb and Sabrina taught Kevin how to paint. Sabrina introduced Kevin to doubles, caramel ice coffee, and chicken curry. Kevin introduced Sabrina to spaetzle, potato pancakes, and Vermont maple syrup. Although Sabrina was in denial at first, her affection for Kevin grew. He had always known it was love at first sight, though. On a camping trip to Alder Lake, that October, Kevin and Sabrina stayed up late for a view of the stars. They huddled together for warmth while looking up at the Milky Way. It was then that they both realized they were each others' first love. Throughout the past six years, Kevin and Sabrina have gone through the roller coaster of life, but have been lucky enough to navigate it side by side. Love takes a lot of effort, but Sabrina and Kevin learned that they could learn together and go through their firsts with patience, kindness, and trust. Kevin and Sabrina are very excited to take the next steps toward their future together and embrace all the firsts that await them! We are incredibly grateful to have the support of our family and friends from the moments we first shared our beach story with you up to this special day.
