Josh and Sabrina first met in December 2019. The couple decided to meet for drinks at Gaslight Bar in Lincoln Park. The date turned into several more within the first couple of weeks of meeting including: a trip to Lincoln Park Zoo Lights, a movie at Music Box Theatre, a night at Wrigley's, Christkindlmarket, and dinners in and around Lincoln Park/Wrigleyville.

On December 28th 2019, Josh officially asked Sabrina to be his girlfriend. The two had enjoyed a dinner out together before meeting up at a few local bars with their friends Frank and Colleen. It was a very memorable night spent celebrating the news with great friends. It may or may not have ended with singing karaoke at Trader Todd's.

When March 2020 hit Sabrina and Josh had only been dating for a couple of months. Things were going really well and each of them had just introduced one another to their families. When the pandemic hit Josh began the adventure of virtual teaching while Sabrina really got to know what work from home meant. With not much to do the couple made the best of the situation - spending a lot of time back and forth from Josh and Sabrina's apartments. The two went on countless walks around Wrigley Field, binge watched tv shows, made trips to Sabrina's hometown of Alpha, and did whatever they could to stay sane. All in all, it was during these moments where they both truly realized they were the ones for each other.

In late Spring of 2021 the couple decided they were ready to take the next step and move in with each other. After apartment hunting and figuring out the best location to move the two decided on the West Loop neighborhood in Chicago. On May 1st 2021, Josh and Sabrina made the decision official and moved into their new apartment together. The couple enjoys exploring new parts in the city, trying new restaurants, and the (much) shorter commutes to work.

Josh and Sabrina got engaged on May 23, 2021 in Lincoln Park on a bridge over looking the skyline. Sabrina thought the two were meeting up with friends for brunch before Josh popped the question in one of Sabrina's favorite spots in the city. After the proposal, they headed back to Josh's parents house to celebrate with families and friends. It was a wonderful day!
