There will be coinciding gatherings for the ladies and gentlemen. The ladies will gather for a bridal tea while the men will celebrate with the groom-to-be. We will all come together for Sabrina and Daniel to read their cards and to open their gifts.
Ladies, consider wearing a spring dress and a hat to Sabrina's Bridal Tea. Our tea party will be celebrated outdoors under a tent. Wearing wedges or sandals might be better, since you will be walking on grass. Gentlemen, consider wearing attire for outdoor activities such as fishing and games.
If you enjoy fishing, please bring your fishing gear to try your hand at catching some fish.
The ladies will be offered an assortment of teatime morsels. Gentlemen can partake in barbecue sandwiches, appetizers, and desserts.
Nacogdoches is the nearest big town to Garrison. There are hotels, B&Bs, and some Inns in Nac. You might consider an overnight stay at the Fredonia Hotel, Jones House Bed & Breakfast, or the Brick House Inn.
Dining: Visit the 1st City Cafe in the Fredonia Hotel, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Or dine at either Auntie Pasta's Italian restaurant or Clear Springs, which are located next to each other. There are many other places to eat, but these are some of the locals' favorites. Shopping: Take a stroll in historic downtown to visit the many charming shops. Some may be closed on Sunday. Outdoor Activities: Take a hike on the Lanana Creek Trail. Stroll through the Ruby M. Mize Azalea garden or venture across the street to the Gayla Mize Garden. Play a round of golf at either Lumberjack National or Woodland Hills, located outside of town on 59.
