Friends had gathered to celebrate Cristian's 20th birthday. I was invited by a mutual friend to join them in the celebration. I was hesitant in attending at first due to not seeing this group of friends since our high school graduation in 2015 and also meeting new people. But I went with my gut feeling, and I am forever grateful that I did. It was a short while after arriving at the gathering when I heard, "Is that Sabrina?" being said from a corner of the room. I leaned to look around a group of people, surrounding someone sitting in a chair, who was blue in the face. And I responded, "Hi?" It was shortly after that when I found out who it was that called me, and the rest is history. As cliche as that may be, it really was. May 17, 2017, he asked me to be his girlfriend and here we are, May 17, 2025, the day we get to live happily ever after.
