While less well-known than Pismo Beach, Avila maintains a small beach town charms containing yummy restaurants, fun shops, and swing sets on the beach.
Avila Valley Barn
This cute farm sells fresh produce, pies, ice cream and the opportunity to feed goats! In the fall it also offers hay rides and pumpkins for sale. And don't miss out on the sweet roasted corn stand!
Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort & Spa
Hot springs tubs for those looking to relax. It's a small hike up a hill to each tub, which you can rent for various amounts of time. You can also book a room here which included a private tub.
The Spa At Madonna Inn
For those wanting to treat themselves, the spa at Madonna Inn is the best around (according to the bride). Purchase of a spa service includes all day access to the pool as well which features convenient food and drink options.

This theater nestled in the heart of downtown SLO recently upgraded their seats which recline and can be heated!
Downtown SLO Farmers' Market
Occurs every Thursday from 6pm to 8:30pm all year round. The couple's favorite features are the roasted corn and the mini sugar donuts available.

Giuseppe's Cucina Italiana
An amazing Italian restaurant in Pismo Beach that we love to visit. There is one in SLO but the one on the beach is the original (and is much better). We recommend arriving earlier in the evening since there are no reservations.
